About Us

We are a group of Australian converts to the legendary delights of High Mountain Oolong Tea, dedicated to the goal of bringing the entire art and craft of this ancient Chinese tradition "down under" to the Land of Oz.

All of us received our initiations in Byron Shire in northern New South Wales, at the tea table of Daniel and Snow Reid, who brought their entire collection of teas, tea pots, tea books, and tea stories with them when they immigrated to Oz from Taiwan in 1999.

A first tea session at their table is an experience that is, quite literally, "enlightening," for it reveals a wonderful, fully self-contained, and highly evolved world of tea arts and crafts that makes other types of tea seem dull and immature by comparison.

All of us by now have our own tea kits, and our own precious supply of exquisite High Mountain Tea from Taiwan, specially ordered for us from Taiwan by Dan and Snow.

It is our goal to establish High Mountain Tea plantations in Australia, particularly in the northern river regions of NSW, where the soil, water, proximity to ocean mists, and other essential factors have all proven perfect for the cultivation of this rare and precious product.

It is also our wish to introduce the culture of High Mountain Oolong Tea to Australia, and to share its incomparable pleasures and benefits with others who live here.

Anyone interested in getting involved in this project may contact us for further information.

We are also here to help you get acquainted with the art and craft of High Mountain Oolong, and provide assistance in ordering tea pots, tea trays, tea cups, and, of course, tea. Stay tuned to this website, for the "Tea Shop" will be online shortly...

If you like tea, you will absolutely love High Mountain Oolong. If you've never liked tea, High Mountain Oolong is likely to change your mind.

Join the growing international fraternity of converts and connoisseurs: you will wonder how you ever managed to live without it!
